Australia Unplugged
Australia Unplugged is a grassroots community movement built on connection, simplicity, and sustainability. We started as a local group passionate about creating space for people to unplug from the noise of modern life and reconnect with nature, community, and each other.
We’re now inviting other communities across Australia to start their own local Unplugged groups under the Australia Unplugged umbrella.

Reconnect in real-life, with community and nature, away from screens
Promote sustainable, low-tech living
Help support our young people to move away from their screens and back to real-life connection
Create local events, workshops, and gatherings that encourage mindful, unplugged experiences
Foster inclusion, connection, and grassroots collaboration

We are currently in the process of becoming a not-for-profit organisation, which will allow us to:
Support local groups with insurance, grants, and funding access
Offer legal and admin infrastructure
Ensure that every Unplugged group aligns with shared community values
